What 3D printing services do you offer?

We offer concept design, rapid prototyping and low-volume production printing using two technologies:

  • FDM (fused deposition modeling) for strong, durable functional parts, jigs and fixtures
  • SLA (stereolithography) on Formlabs printers for fine detail, tight features and smooth surface finish

We also install threaded inserts and provide post-processing and finishing.

How long does the 3D printing process usually take?

We return quotes within one business day. You can then choose the turnaround that fits your schedule:

  • Expedite: 24-hour turnaround on most jobs
  • Standard: our normal production schedule
  • Economy: the lowest price when time is flexible

Exact lead time depends on part size, complexity and quantity. Shipping time is added for customers outside the Mooresville area.

What materials can you use for printing?

We print in a range of engineering-grade materials:

  • FDM: PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS, glass-filled ABS, carbon-fiber ASA, carbon-fiber PPA (nylon) and TPU 95A flexible
  • SLA resin: Formlabs Tough 2000, High Temp and standard resins

Do you ship outside North Carolina?

Yes. Product Path 3D is based in Mooresville, North Carolina, and we ship finished parts to customers anywhere in the United States. Customers in Mooresville, Lake Norman and the Charlotte area can also arrange local pickup.

What file types do you accept?

STEP and STL files are preferred, and we also accept OBJ and 3MF. Don't have a CAD model? Send photos with rough dimensions or a sketch, and our Concept Design service can create the model for you.

How much does 3D printing cost?

Pricing depends on material, print time, quantity, finishing and the turnaround you choose. Every quote is free: send your file through our Request a Quote page and we will reply with pricing and lead time within one business day.

What's the largest part you can print?

Our build volume is 12.6" x 12.6" x 12.8" (320 x 320 x 325 mm) for a single piece. Larger parts can often be split into sections and bonded or bolted together. Send us your file and we'll recommend the best approach.

Why do large parts cost more?

A large part can take a day or more of machine time and use a full spool of engineering material, so price grows quickly with size. Small parts are very affordable; parts near our maximum size typically run several hundred dollars. Every quote is free, so send your file for an exact price.
